In order to benefit from the “social economy company” status and the financial assistance specifically dedicated to this type of business, projects must meet the following criteria:

  • Provide a service or product that will benefit the community
  • Integrate democratic decision-making processes, favouring and encouraging the participation of users and workers
  • Redistribute the surplus within the community
  • Have management autonomy – the organization is to be managed by itself and not by the State
  • Ensure sustainability of the business

Financial Assistance

The Social Economy Fund is one of the measures that makes it possible to support entrepreneurs in their effort to develop or implement their business projects.
